Who can join
Silfra operators generally set a minimum age (12 is common), a height and weight range for the dry suit, and require you to be able to swim. The exact limits for each offer are listed under "Important information" on its booking page; read them before paying, as a suit that does not fit means you cannot enter the water. For a dry-suit dive, see Silfra diving.
Tips
- The dry suit goes over warm layers: wear thermal clothing underneath.
- The tours include underwater photos taken with a camera by the guide.
- Book early in summer.
- Combine with the Golden Circle or see getting around Iceland. Parking at Þingvellir costs ISK 1,000 per car with five seats or fewer (thingvellir.is, 6 November 2026).
