Tips
- Elding's page gives durations and seasons, and its prices are in the booking calendar rather than on the page, so the amount depends on the tour and date. The choice between the two whale tours is size of boat and length: Classic lasts 2 to 3.5 hours and runs all year; Premium is a two-hour trip for 12 passengers at most in a certified RIB boat, from April to October. For puffins the whole trip is one hour, which makes it easy to fit into a Reykjavík stay, as compared in puffin tours in Iceland. North Iceland has its own whale bases, Húsavík and Akureyri, compared in whale watching tours in Iceland. Other harbour-district stops are the Aurora Reykjavík centre and Flyover Iceland.
How to get there
Reykjavík Old Harbour, in the city; the Elding site gives the Premium departure as "from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík".
